- What to know: Austria Haus is a boutique property of only 25 rooms along Gore Creek. Well appointed rooms with heated bathroom floors, and many with balconies.

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa(Colorado)

- What to know: The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is a brand new hotel that just opened for the winter 24/25 season in a newly developed area within Deer Valley (skiers only).

Hyatt Centric Park City (Utah)
- Price: 45,000 Hyatt points per night vs. average cash rate $803/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out on Park City Mountain
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, sauna, kids game room, ski valet, complimentary shuttle, parking included, gas fireplace in room
- What to know: People rave about the restaurant and bar for apres, and can’t get enough of the Hyatt Centric Park City‘s mountain location.

The Lodge at Spruce Peak (Vermont)
- Price: 45,000 Hyatt points/night vs. average cash rate $519/nt
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Stowe Mountain resort
- Amenities: Morning coffee service, game room, pool, fitness center, spa, valet parking $35
- What to know: The Lodge at Spruce Peak features multi-bedroom suites and it’s accessibility to many in the northeast make this a great quick family mountain escape.

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono (Japan)
- Price: 45,000 Hyatt points/night vs. average cash rate from 257,250 yen/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Niseko Hanazono Resort
- Amenities: Indoor swimming pool, hot spring ‘onsen’, spa, ski valet
- What to know: If you want the best powdery snow, then the Park Hyatt Niseko is the place to go! Niseko is legendary for its snow and thrills with the Asia’s longest mega zipline.
Hilton Honors
Small Luxury Hotels of the world (SLH) has really expanded Hilton’s footprint on the mountains globally. These are fantastic uses for Free Night Certificates which are uncapped in terms of points value and applicable toward any available standard room.
You can get a free night certificate through the annual Aspire card benefit, occasionally as part of a welcome offer a new credit card, or by meeting the spending requirement on the Surpass card. American Express Membership rewards also transfer 1 to 2 to Hilton. Remember that all stays on points get the 5th night free and waived resort fees.
Points are frequently on sale for half a cent each if you are in need of some Hilton Points. Listed below is the standard room pricing when available

Waldorf Astoria Park City (Utah)
- Price: 110,000 Hilton points/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out on Canyon’s Village side of Park City
- Amenities: Pool, Hot tubs, Spa, s’mores, ski valet, gas fireplace in room, parking fee $48 daily
- What to know: A luxurious property in a great location. However, standard rooms only have King bed option available. Upgrades may be available to a room with a sofa bed, so not ideal for a family.

Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa, an SLH Hotel (Jackson, Wyoming)
- Price: 130,000 Hilton points/night, cash rates from $500/nt
- Location: In Jackson Hole Town along Flat Creek, a few minutes walk to town square
- Amenities: Hot tub, fire pit, spa, complimentary parking, cookies, coffee
- What to know: Newly renovated after a devastating fire, this property retains a boutique feel with 40 guest rooms and personalized service that makes you feel at home.

Le M de Megeve, an SLH Hotel (Megeve, France)
- Price: 105,000 Hilton points/night
- Location: In the alpine village of Megeve, close to the chamois gondola
- Amenities: Spa, pool, balconies, hot tub
- What to know: Le M de Megeve offers thoughtful service in a chic French alpine town.

Le Grand Bellevue, an SLH Hotel (Gstaad, Switzerland)
- Price: 105,000 Hilton points/night
- Location: In Gstaad village, a few minutes away from the luxury shops of the promenade, and close to several ski areas.
- Amenities: One of the best spas in Gstaad, saunas, pool, rate includes half board (breakfast and dinner) during the winter, complimentary minibar
- What to know: Le Grand Bellevue is a luxurious place to be seen with exceptional service and food, all while staying down to earth in a relaxed Swiss village.

Miramonti Boutique Hotel, an SLH Hotel (Merano, Italy)
- Price: 110,000 Hilton points/night
- Location: Short drive to Merano 2000 for skiing, in the Dolomites
- Amenities: Sauna, steam room, onset, spa, infinity pool, free shuttle to ski resort, welcome drink
- What to know: The stunning Miramonti hotel exceeds expectations and draws praise from both honeymooners and families.

Hilton Niseko Village (Japan)
- Price: 80,000 Hilton points/night
- Location: Ski in/ski-out at the base of Mt Annupuri, only a 10-minute gondola ride to the top
- Amenities: natural hot spring baths (onsen) with a view of Mt. Yōtei, complimentary parking, free shuttle to Hirafu Village
- What to know: This older property boasts a great location, but reviews point out lackluster service and food.
Marriott Bonvoy
Points prices are dynamically priced in relation to cash price so book five nights to get a free night and more bang for your points. Resort fees are not waived on award stays, so I’ve included it in the descriptions below.
As one of the largest hotel brands, Marriott points are always a great asset to planning any vacation. For ski vacations in particular, Marriott offers the widest range of both luxury and four star accommodations on the mountain.

The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail (Colorado)
- Price: From 80,000 Marriott points/night (dynamic)
- Location: In Lionshead Village, at the base of Vail mountain
- Amenities: Outdoor pool, hot tub, salt therapy, gear lending library, s’mores, spa, ski valet, shuttle service, complimentary whisky tastings, parking fee $60 daily, resort fee $60 daily
- What to know: The $40 million dollar renovation shows, The Hythe has elevated style right in the heart of Vail

The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch (Colorado)
- Price: From 100,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Beaver Creek, away from the base village
- Amenities: Pool, Hot tub, welcome drink, ski valet, s’mores, daily snowshoe hike, parking fee $60 daily, resort fee $60 daily
- What to know: Mixed reviews don’t change this property’s slopeside location and exclusive vibe.

Beaver Creek Lodge, Autograph Collection (Colorado)
- Price: From 70,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: Base village in Beaver Creek, close to lifts
- Amenities: pool, hot tub, welcome drink, daily hot chocolate, s’mores, and wine, shuttle service, $15 voucher for Christy sports, resort fee $40 daily, ski valet, parking fee $60 daily
- What to know: All rooms at the Beaver Creek Lodge are suites, which is convenient for families needing extra room or the use of the kitchenette.

W Aspen (Colorado)
- From 72,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: Right by the gondola, across Little Nell, in Aspen
- Amenities: Welcome drink, fruit platter, roundtrip airport transportation, ski storage, resort fee $65 daily, parking fee $65 daily
- What to know: The colorful retro design at the W Aspen stands out from more traditional luxury properties in Aspen, but you could be put in a room without a view.

St.Regis Aspen Resort (Colorado)
- Price: From 100,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: At the base of Aspen Mountain
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, spa, champagne sabering, airport shuttle, ski valet, parking fee $65 daily, no resort fee
- What to know: The club onsite can be disturbing for some, but most enjoy this historic property known for its butler service.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe (California)
- Price: From 98,000 Marriott points/Night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Northstar, connected to the village by gondola
- Amenities: Ski valet, pool, spa, welcome beverage, shuttle to Truckee, resort fee $65/daily, parking fee $60/daily
- What to know: Take in the best of winter at the Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe‘s incredible location with standout service.

The St. Regis Deer Valley (Utah)
- Price: From 110,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Deer Valley (skiers only)
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, spa, champagne sabering, s’mores, hot cocoa, ski valet, transportation up to 5 miles, resort fee $50 daily
- What to know: When I visited the St. Regis Deer Valley, I loved sitting by the fire at their rooftop bar, having a handcrafted cocktail and watching the skiers come in! The entrance by foot to the property is unique in that it involves a ride up in their funicular. Deer Valley is a mile away from Park City Main Street, where you’ll find more options for shopping and dining.

The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler (Canada)
- Price: From 70,000 Marriott points/night
- Location: In whistler Village at Gondola base
- Amenities: Pools, hut tub, spa, shuttle, no resort fee, parking fee $34 daily
- What to Know: All rooms are suites with kitchens in this dog friendly hotel that should be your top choice in Whistler.

W Verbier (Switzerland)
- Price: From 92,000 points/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at Verbier ski resort
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, spa, ski valet, boot warming, mountain concierge, soaking tub and fireplace in room, free full breakfast, no resort fee, parking CHF 59 daily
- What to know: Reviews sing the praises of the W Verbier staff, amenities, and location. The perfect Swiss ski getaway!
IHG Rewards
IHG’s ski footprint tends to be lower end properties, but these are truly aspirational resorts in incredible locations. Award stays get the 4th night free. Need points? Watch out for frequent sales to buy points for half a cent each.

Six Senses Crans-Montana (Switzerland)
- Price: From at 200,000 points/night
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, spa, ski concierge, breakfast included
- What to know: A new hotel still working out service kinks, with a unique location.

Six Sense Residences Courcheval (France)
- Price: From 500,000 points, difficult to find availability
- Location: Ski-in/ski-out at the ski lifts in Courcheval 1850
- Amenities: Pool, hot tub, sauna, spa, breakfast included
- What to know: Chalet style accommodations while retaining resort amenities and service.
