Etihad is setting the standard in luxury business class flights. This is my experience in flying out of their hub airport of Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Singapore (SIN) on the Boeing 787-9. This is a seven and half hour flight that I did not want to end!
This flight was part of a larger itinerary I booked using Air Canada Aeroplan points.

Arrival at AUH Business Class Entrance
After a relaxing layover at the Conrad Etihad Towers and a fun desert tour I headed to the airport by taxi.
The luxury experience started upon arrival to the airport. There is a dedicated entrance and security for business class passengers on Etihad. This meant that there was no queue or fuss upon entry. In fact, the whole process of getting through security and into the terminal was super easy and quick.

Etihad Business Class Lounge
The Etihad Business Class Lounge was huge and offered a variety of amenities. I grabbed a bit of everything from the buffet, which was all high quality mediterranean and asian food. I finished off my meal with an excellent espresso martini from the bar.

Onboard Etihad Business Class
I took advantage of the variety of magazines they had available in the lounge so as to have some reading material for the flight.
Once onboard, I was promptly given glass of champagne while waiting for everyone to board. The seat had touch controls for the recline and lie flat functions, storage, bedding, and an amenity kit.

Once we took off, I had the Thyme's Up mocktail and put in my meal order. I had the spicy prawn salad, the lamb kibbeh bin laban, and the cherry caramel mousse tart.

For breakfast, I had a mimosa, cappuccino, and assorted pastries and cheeses.
Overall, this was a fantastic flight. The seat was very comfortable, service was good, and food was plentiful. I wouldn't hesitate to fly Etihad again.
